December 3, 2009 - Toronto Real Estate Board REALTORS reported 7,446 sales transactions in November - slightly more than double the November 2008 results when Toronto area home sales had experienced a drastic decline due to the economic downturn. November 20, 2009 -In the first fifteen days of November, Realtors in the Greater Toronto Area reported 3,666 sales, a whopping 84 per cent increase over the first half of November 2008. The average price of homes sold during this timeframe also increased, by 10 per cent, to $415,066. Condominium sales across the GTA were even more remarkable with sales of this type increasing by November 13, 2009 - Greater Toronto Area Realtors® reported 8,476 sales in October 2009 - up 64 per cent from October 2008! The average price of a home in October was up by 20 per cent over the same month last year to $423,559. Strong sales growth as well as price appreciation has occurred across all property classes - from November 9, 2009 -- It has been a red-hot fall in the Greater Toronto Area resale housing market this year!
